“The Unchies” is our first ever reptiles to breed under Mythos Exotics. Thanks to the patience of Scrunchie and willingness of Munchie, we officially have our first ever eggs as of Father’s Day, 2026! They look healthy and are currently in the incubator awaiting to bring us new life!
Sire - Munchie
Munchie was the very first crested gecko to join the Mythos Hub, arriving in 2025 at just 27 grams. In his early days, he wanted nothing to do with handling—which is exactly how he earned the name Munchie, thanks to his tendency to nip at us whenever we got too close. Today, he's an entirely different gecko. Now weighing an impressive 68 grams, Munchie has grown into an incredibly gentle and confident boy.
After months of proper nutrition, consistent care, and trust-building, Munchie has more than doubled his arrival weight and is now in excellent condition for our breeding program. His transformation has been one of the most rewarding journeys we've experienced at Mythos Exotics.
Munchie is fed Pangea Fig & Insect Formula every Monday and Friday, weighed each Wednesday evening to monitor his health, and regularly participates in handling sessions ranging from 5 minutes to an hour, up to three times per week. These sessions help maintain his confidence around people while always respecting his comfort level and well-being.
DAM - Scrunchie
Scrunchie joined the Mythos Exotics family after being purchased from a local pet store while she was already gravid. Because her body had not yet fully matured, the eggs she produced were infertile. The experience was extremely stressful for her and ultimately resulted in her dropping her tail. To prioritize her health and well-being, we gave her more than a year to recover before considering her for our breeding program.
Scrunchie is naturally very shy and prefers to keep her distance, which can make routine health checks a bit challenging. However, over the past several months, we've worked hard to build trust with her throughout the breeding process. That relationship has made it much easier to provide the care she needs while respecting her boundaries. At Mythos Exotics, we believe our animals' comfort and happiness always come first, so we never handle Scrunchie unnecessarily and allow her to interact on her own terms.
She currently maintains a healthy weight of 43 grams and enjoys a varied Pangea diet, including the Fig & Insect, Papaya, Watermelon, and Breeder Formula flavors. Scrunchie is fed every Monday and Friday, with her diet rotated regularly to provide nutritional variety and enrichment.
