Live Animal Guarantee:

All of our animals are shipped out in HEALTHY conditions and very much alive. To provide our customers with Live Animal Guarantee, we require two things -

  • First, the temperatures have to be safe. Safe temperatures are considered between 32°F (overnight low) and 85°F (daytime high) for the entire duration of the shipment. Heat and cold packs will be provided at no extra charge. We monitor the forecast for both the shipping location as well as the receiving location, ensuring your animals are shipped safely. If weather conditions cause any delay in shipping, we will gladly hold your animals for up to 15 days at no extra charge. If weather conditions worsen after the 15-day hold, we will continue to hold at no charge for another 15 days. If the conditions clear, we will contact you to schedule a shipping date. If we do not receive any form of confirmation for shipping, after 10 days of the original message, we will consider the order abandoned and will not be issuing a refund.

  • The second condition for the live arrival guarantee is someone must be present at the designated shipping HUB within an hour of the animal arriving, or the Live Arrival Guarantee is voided. If you special requested your animal to be shipped to your home, someone must be present at the designated shipping address for the FIRST delivery attempt. If no one is present at the designated shipping address at the designated delivery time, the live arrival guarantee is also voided. If a shipment is delayed, your animal(s) will be given the top notch care all our animals receive at no additional cost to you, until a safe shipping day is reached. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for any sort of damages incurred as a result of an incorrect address or delays on the behalf of the carrier.

    DOAs:

    In the rare case you receive an animal that had perished during shipment, Mythos Exotics must be contacted via text message or email within 1 hour of the shipment being delivered, no exceptions! Photographic proof will be required in all cases. At our discretion we may require the expired animal be returned to us, at your expense. Once our investigation is complete, compensation will be issued in the form of either a comparable replacement animal, or store credit. Cash refunds will not be given under any circumstances.

    Payment Methods:

    We accept payments in the form of cash, CashApp, Venmo, and PayPal only.

    Payment Plans:

    You may reserve a gecko with a 25% or $50 nonrefundable deposit, whichever is greater. If the buyer later decides they would like to purchase a different gecko, the deposit can be transferred to another animal. However, any additional payment past the deposit is nontransferable. The buyer then 2 weeks to pay off the remaining balance of the Gecko. Depending on the price, this timeline can be adjusted as needed, at our discretion. The price of the gecko must be paid in full before shipping can occur.

    Shipping:

  • We ship all orders via FedEx with Ship Your Reptiles. Shipping charges are $59 for all orders. All shipping supplies are included in the shipping cost.

  • We only ship on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • Shipping is weather dependent and proper weather conditions of a daytime high below 90 as well as a nighttime low of 32 are our limits for shipping.

  • Contact us via e-mail below to schedule a shipping date that works best for you. We will do our research on weather conditions for both hubs that day, determine if that date works best with our personal schedules, and respond with a confirm or reschedule e-mail within 24H after initial scheduling e-mail.
    Tail Drops:

    Geckos dropping their tail is a completely natural process and does not harm or devalue the animal at all. Because of this, we do not offer a guarantee on gecko tails during shipping. Tail drops during shipping are very rare but can happen. Crested Geckos cannot grow their tails back once dropped.
